LIVE LIFE SELFLESSLY PREPARING FOR DEATH

Here lies the first limitation to embracing a full and happy life. If death, as an idea, is denied and swept under the table, then we are left with a daunting and unresolved fear that keeps us running from the inevitable. Statistically, life has a one-hundred percent death rate; nobody escapes it. Death is a certainty, and, writes Hubert van Zeller: “…we have at least enough knowledge of it to enable us to meet it head-on.” In other words, death is such a certainty that we should live our lives with a depth of meaning and resolve that renders the soulless concerned or fearful about death taking them by surprise.
